As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
The SWIFT Infrastructure Technology team is responsible for providing firm-wide connectivity to the systemically important market infrastructures of SWIFT and CLS. Our secure, high-performance middleware messaging and API applications process millions of messages and trillions of dollars in payments every day, interfacing with hundreds of internal line of business applications to enable the exchange of financial messages with counterparties across the world.
You will apply your knowledge and expertise across all aspects of the software development lifecycle ?? from defining requirements and designs, to building, testing, and implementing solutions, and providing production support. This role requires a solid level of SWIFT product expertise and a thorough understanding of SWIFT messaging concepts, combined with a strong foundation in distributed infrastructure and associated technologies.
Job responsibilities
Execute software solutions across design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond conventional approaches to break down complex technical problems and deliver scalable outcomes
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
