Teaching Assistant

Role: 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Redditch & surrounding areas
Pay: £95.00 - £105.00 per day (depending on experience)
Academics are an education recruitment agency seeking dedicated and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join our supportive primary schools across Redditch.
In this role, you will work closely with individual pupils who require additional tailored educational, emotional, or behavioral support. You will play a vital role in helping children engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential in a classroom setting.
School-Based Experience: Prior experience supporting primary school children within a classroom or educational setting is ideal.

Psychology Graduates: This is an outstanding opportunity for Psychology graduates (or related fields) aiming to gain practical, hands-on experience with SEN, child development, and educational psychology before pursuing further postgraduate studies.

Full Availability: Candidates must be available 5 days a week during standard school term hours.

Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a designated pupil during lessons and structured activities.

Adapt learning materials to suit the child's individual learning needs.

Implement positive behavior management strategies in line with school policies.

Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to monitor and track progress.

Foster an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Relevant school-based experience or a degree in Psychology / Education (preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one through Academics.
