We are seeking a proficient Electronics Engineer to design, develop, and validate
complex electronic circuits. This role focuses on advanced analogue and digital circuit design, with occasional involvement in Microwave RF systems. The successful candidate will take their designs through a full product lifecycle from prototyping and circuit design through to design verification and production support. You will be working on our new product development and/or the advanced equipment needed to test and validate it.
Blighter Surveillance Systems Ltd. designs and sells electronic-scanning ground radar
systems for national border security, counter-drone, perimeter security and coastline security. Our radars have a reputation for performance and reliability, protecting lives and critical assets worldwide. As an SME, we are able to develop and adapt our designs quickly in response to user requirements. Based in Great Chesterford just south of Cambridge, we are easy to reach by car and only two minutes' walk from the nearest rail station.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop advanced analogue and digital circuits
Perform simulation, testing, debugging, and verification
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues at both system and
component levels.
Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and
regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, and
manufacturing engineers.
Support transition from prototype to production, including working with our
production team.
Key Requirements:
Degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, or a related discipline.
2-3 years industry experience in electronic design
Both analogue and digital design experience
Experience using PCB design tools and lab equipment
Familiarity with embedded systems and interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CANbus,
high-speed buses).
Understanding of signal integrity, EMC and approvals testing
This role is hybrid and based on the outskirts of Saffron Walden/Cambridge
