School Nurse salary: £30,000 - £35,000.

The successful School Nurse must be an RGN/RN, and RSCN, hold NMC registration and have three years post qualification experience. The School Nurse role will offer the right candidate an excellent opportunity for a work/life balance and the opportunity for further career progression and continued professional development.
School Nurse responsibilities:
Provide emergency care and treatment for sick / injured students and staff.
The School Nurse will serve as a health advocate for students.
Administer medications according to school policies.
Record and maintain individual care plans and emergency drug bags for students with chronic conditions.
Participate in PSHE programme.
Teaching staff and being a resource on any relevant medical issues, eg. first aid, using epi-pens and inhalers, head injuries etc.
Maintain confidential health records.
School Nurse requirements:
RN qualification with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
A minimum 5 years post-registration experience, preferably in A&E, paediatrics and/or school nursing.
Have evidence of safeguarding training and knowledge.
First Aid qualification desirable.
Be approachable for young people.
