Job Description

Project Engineer (Process Design, Installation & Fabrication solutions)

A new vacancy for leading provider of engineering design and installation solutions for UK/international customers in Process industries such as CHEMICALS, WATER TREATMENT, BIO-PHARMACEUTICAL, FOOD & BEVERAGE and DAIRY production.

As a Project Engineer, you will:

  • Design process flow diagrams, defining instrumentation and control requirements.
  • Source and procure fluid handling equipment and materials for plant construction.
  • Supervise workshop-based plant construction and liaise with workshop personnel.
  • Manage projects from inception to final acceptance, including design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning-often on-site with customers.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety-related studies.
  • Collaborate with customers throughout project progress.
  • Prepare cost estimates for sales quotations, including calculations involving fluid/thermo dynamics.
  • Conduct pilot plant trials both at our South Wales facility and on customer sites.
  • Prepare detailed trial reports.
  • Travel regularly within the UK and occasionally overseas.
  • A valid driving license is required.

We are looking for a motivated engineer with:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Experience in process manufacturing and involvement in designing and specifying process equipment.
  • Knowledge of thermo/fluid dynamics, instrumentation, and control (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong documentation, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Immediate start preferable
