Job Description

M&E Project Manager

Our client is looking to hire an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Project Manager to join their growing team, delivering engineering, construction and building services projects across a range of sectors. They have opportunities on new schools in Edinburgh & Glasgow before September. Commercial install works predominantly. As a leading business in UK, they have opportunities throughout Scotland with an office near Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical and commercial background who can manage projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from planning through to completion.
  • Lead project delivery, ensuring programme, cost, quality and safety objectives are achieved.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow and project reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate design teams and M&E subcontractors throughout delivery.
  • Manage project risks, change control and contract administration (NEC/JCT).
  • Oversee commissioning, handover and project close-out.

About You

  • Proven experience delivering construction, M&E or building services projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering background desirable.
  • APM or equivalent project management qualification is advantageous.
