Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Manchester & Surrounding Areas | Full-Time & Long-Term Opportunities | Aspire People

Aspire People are currently recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who is comfortable leading learning, supporting classroom management, and working across different year groups.

The Role:

* Delivering planned lessons and learning activities

* Providing whole-class, 1:1, and small-group support

* Covering classes in the absence of the class teacher

* Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs

* Delivering interventions in Maths, English, phonics, and other curriculum areas

* Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations

* Supporting assessment and pupil progress

* Working closely with class teachers, senior leaders, and SENCOs

* Preparing resources and supporting wider school activities

The Ideal Candidate:

* Holds a relevant HLTA, Level 4, or equivalent qualification, or has strong relevant experience

* Has previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar role

* Confident leading lessons and managing a classroom

* Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum

* Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

* Able to work independently and as part of a wider team

* Flexible and confident working across different year groups

* Committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
