Overview:

Compass Associates is proudly partnering with a leading private Substance Misuse provider that was born out of a mother's impassioned plea to save her son from the clutches of addiction. What began as a simple support group for parents has since evolved into a substantial network of life-changing services across the UK. The providers stand by individuals wrestling with drug and alcohol abuse, mental health challenges, and their loved ones, offering support through community, face-to-face, and prison-based services.

Now, as they expand their operations in Wigan, we are on the hunt for an exceptional Lead Psychologist to join their dedicated team.

As a Lead Psychologist, you will hold your own caseload while also supporting Trainee and Assistant Psychologists, in accordance with the organisation's corporate policies as well as national regulations, policies, and procedures.

Location:

The service is based in Wigan; thus the role is commutable from Preston, Blackburn, Huddersfield, Rochdale, Bolton, Manchester, Stockport, Warrington, Chester, Liverpool and other surrounding towns and villages.

Criteria:

- HCPC Registered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling)

- Substance Misuse setting experience

Shift Pattern:

As a Lead Psychologist, you will work ideally full-time, Mon – Fri but applications are welcome from those seeking part-time hours.

Interview Process:

This will be a two-stage process, with the first stage being a competency-based interview, followed by a slightly informal 2nd stage.

Salary and Benefits:

This Lead Psychologist position pays up to £58,000 (Band 8b) (pro-rata), and includes an industry-leading benefit package as follows:

30 days annual leave, plus the 8 bank holidays

2 days paid volunteer leave per year
