We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Groundworker to join a growing and well-established business operating across South East London and Kent.This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example whilst remaining actively involved on site. You will be responsible for overseeing a small team of two Groundworkers and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard across multiple projects.What's on Offer?Salary up to £60,000 per annumPermanent, long-term positionOpportunity to lead your own teamVaried workload across multiple projectsSupportive and growing businessCompany vehicleOvertime opportunities availableThe RoleAs Lead Groundworker, you will:Lead and supervise a team of two Groundworkers across multiple sitesCarry out hands-on groundworks activities including drainage, foundations, paving, kerbing, concreting, excavationCoordinate daily site activities and allocate workloadsEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time and to specificationConduct site inspections and maintain high-quality standardsLiaise with site managers, subcontractors and clients where requiredEnsure all health & safety procedures are followed at all timesManage materials, plant and equipment efficiently across sitesRequirementsMinimum 10 years experience within groundworksPrevious experience leading or supervising small site teams (Desirable)Strong understanding of health & safety regulationsAbility to read and interpret site drawingsFull UK driving licenceExcellent communication and organisational skillsCSCS Card essentialSSSTS/SMSTS would be advantageousIf you're an experienced Groundworker looking for a leadership role that combines site supervision with hands-on work, we'd like to hear from you.
