National Account Manager

We're working with an award-winning FMCG business who are looking for a National Account Manager to join their growing business.
You will also be responsible for determining long-term sales strategy and act as the primary contact for customers and key contacts.
The role is part of an established, high-performing National Accounts team and offers a vast amount of autonomy to make the role your own. You'll be responsible for developing new business as well as managing long-standing relationships.
Some of the Key Responsibilities will include:
Running the full P&L for your customer base and product portfolio
Collaborate with all internal departments to deliver against objectives
Manage existing relationships to deliver against JBPs
Identify and deliver new business both with new customers and existing customers
Work closely with external suppliers overseas to deliver against project timings
Hold regular review and performance meetings with customers
Track sales and report back to the business and customers
Be focused on maximising margin for all parties
Spot new and unique opportunities for long-term and ad-hoc opportunities
Work closely with the National Accounts team to deliver against wider business objectives
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Manage high SKU volumesEffectively communicate with the wider business on key subjects and milestones
Ideal experience (not all required):
2 years experience of account management
Previous management of key UK retailers would be beneficial
FMCG experience would be advantageous
Project management experience
Experience managing multiple projects or events at any one time
Knowledge of successfully working towards deadlines
Highly driven and determined
Ability to think of new ideas independently
An entrepreneurial mindset
A clear communicator with strong written and verbal skills
Strong at presenting and proposing new ideas
