About the RoleWe are seeking a reliable, skilled, and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly team in a private care home. This is a full-time position, with occasional visits to other care home sites when additional support is required to ensure compliance, safety, and high standards of maintenance are maintained across our environments.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to maintaining high standards in a care environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Internal Maintenance: furniture, fixtures and fittings, equipment basic heating faultsGeneral Exterior: Maintain grounds & gardens, fences and furniture, clear snow and grit paths, clean all signs & lighting.Safety: Identify hazards and risks, testing of fire alarm, liaise with contractors onsite, maintain a maintenance book. Ensure paints & varnishes are stored correctly, test and record water tempsMoving & Handling: assisting receiving deliveries and storageGeneral duties as requested by the home manager or maintenance managerOur ideal Maintenance Engineer will have the following:Essential Experience of DIY and decoratingCaring natureStrong communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team and individuallyFlexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of ResidentsFull clean driving licenceA Health & Safety or Maintenance qualification is desirablePrevious experience within a Care or Nursing Home setting or similarWhat We OfferCompetitive salary of £35,000-£45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).Full-time, permanent employment.Supportive management team and friendly working environment.Opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.Ongoing training and development opportunities.Company pension scheme.Paid annual leave.If you are a dependable and experienced maintenance professional looking for your next opportunity in a rewarding care environment, we would love to hear from you.JBRP1_UKTJ
