ROLE OVERVIEW Your role as an Accountant will be to provide support for Managers and Directors in providing professional accountancy services to fee-paying clients. The services can include financial reporting, taxation, and audit. You will join a growing practice of 14 staff with a fantastic reputation for developing their staff.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare sets of Financial Statuary Accounts with minimal supervision.
- Calculate the corporation tax due including good working knowledge of capital allowances.
- Solve problem areas in accounting including reconciliations of VAT.
- Take on ad hoc projects such as cash flow statements and projections.
- Assist clients in management accounts preparation.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Previous experience in an Accounting Practice
- AAT / ACA / ACCA Part Qual or Qualified or QBE
- Good IT skills, including experience of using different accounting packages or systems such as Xero and IRIS.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with colleagues and clients at all levels.
- Good working knowledge of VAT and Personal Taxation and ability to prepare a self-assessment tax return.
SALARY Basic salary up to £35,000Benefits include:
