A leading UK law firm is looking to add an Associate Director to its established non-contentious construction practice, with a particular focus on energy and energy-transition projects.The team advises developers, investors, funders and operators across renewable generation, battery storage, grid infrastructure and wider energy projects. Their work spans procurement strategy, construction and engineering contracts, project delivery and the operational phase, often alongside specialists in energy regulation, planning, real estate, corporate and project finance.This is a senior role with significant client exposure. You will lead negotiations on complex EPC, BOP, supply and O&M arrangements, including contracts based on FIDIC and NEC, while managing client stakeholders and supervising junior lawyers. Matters frequently involve project-financed structures and multiple counterparties, requiring a strong understanding of both contractual risk and the wider driver behind a project.The practice has a particular strength in major renewable and energy infrastructure developments, including solar, battery storage, wind and other power-management projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers focused specifically on the energy sector and will have meaningful scope to develop client relationships and contribute to the continued expansion of the practice.Key Requirements:Strong non-contentious construction experience within the energy sector.Experience negotiating EPC, O&M, FIDIC and/or NEC-based contracts.The ability to lead negotiations and manage sophisticated client stakeholders.Experience supervising junior lawyers.An interest in building their own profile and practice within energy and infrastructure.For more information, please contact
