Senior Developer (G7) - Python & Django

Job Description

SBA are currently supporting our Central Government client who are seeking a Senior Developer (G7)| (Python & Django) on an initial 6 month contract.Location: London, Bristol OR Manchester (hybrid office attendance)You will have:A high level of expertise in Python and Python web frameworks, ideally Django.Strong working knowledge of modern development tools, including Docker, git and GitHubA good working knowledge of Amazon Web Services, in particular deploying containerised applicationsAn ability to build and maintain CI/CD tooling, ideally using GitHub Actions and AWS CodeBuild/CodePipelineStrong expertise building applications which integrate, transform and organise data from a range of sourcesThe ability to investigate problems with running applications, including interrogating AWS logs, responding to errors raised in Sentry (or similar tools) and applying fixesExperience of deploying applications and infrastructure using either the Python CDK or other infrastructure as code toolsA good working knowledge of Linux/UNIX, including system administration and shell scriptingThe ability to secure applications and cloud environments in line with industry best practiceLeading work within an Agile environment, including leading and supporting more junior developersGood working knowledge of cybersecurity topics, specifically secure-by-design software developmentNB: Active or lapsed SC that can be transferred is required for the assignment. Successful applicant can start on BPSS while the SC transfer is underway
