Contract Electrical Engineer (Relief / Cover): Oxford
We're building a team of reliable, skilled Electrical Engineers in the Oxford area, and we'd like to hear from you. We have contract opportunities for an Electrical Engineer on a modern, high-spec commercial site in one of the UK's most exciting and fast-growing innovation hubs. Whether you're a time-served Electrical Engineer looking for regular contract work or you want flexible cover, this is a chance to work somewhere a bit different from the usual tired building.

Working Pattern
* Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00
* Assignments range from short-term cover to longer bookings, and some may be offered at short notice
Purpose
As our Electrical Engineer, you'll carry out PPM and reactive works across the electrical systems on site, keeping the building safe, compliant and running without disruption. You'll respond to reactive requests promptly and close them out in line with agreed procedures.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Carry out routine electrical PPM in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists
* Attend and complete reactive tasks throughout the building, including general fabric-related items
* Fault find and remedy electrical defects promptly to keep plant in a serviceable condition
* Complete job sheets, PPM records and reactive paperwork accurately and on time
* Prepare and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments, and work safely at all times
* Report any defects, risks or recommended follow-up works to the relevant contact
* Keep plant rooms secure, clean, tidy and locked when not in use
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in commercial building maintenance
* Qualified to NVQ Level 2/3 Electrical Installations or equivalent
* 17th/18th Edition
* Own tools and PPE
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable
* Experience with LV systems, distribution boards and emergency lighting
* Testing and inspection experience (e.g. 2391 or equivalent)
* Previous facilities management experience
