Security Infrastructure Engineer Location: Frimley & Client Sites (Hybrid: ~12 weeks/month onsite, plus domestic & international travel)

Type: Contract (69 months) Hours: 40 hours/week

Day Rate: £660 per day

Security Clearance: UK Security Check (SC)

Role Overview We are looking for a talented Security Infrastructure Engineer to support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a wide range of security tools. You will work across a variety of technologiesincluding cloud compute, networking, storage services, and on-premises infrastructurewhile assessing existing deployments to drive security maturity.

Key Responsibilities Tool Configuration: Support the design, configuration, and deployment of diverse security tools across cloud hosting, containerized platforms, and on-prem VMs.

Infrastructure Sourcing: Specify exact infrastructure requirements (RAM, Disk, CPU, Network bandwidth) for security tools.

Architecture & Integration: Assist in setting up cloud and on-prem environments, applying security controls/compliance frameworks, and integrating security tools with identity management solutions.

Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test procedures to ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

Technical Advisory: Act as a technical SME, assessing existing client capabilities and providing expert recommendations for improvement.

Core Duties & Requirements Technical Skills Environments: Proven experience in network design/configuration, containerized platform deployments, and virtual machine deployments across both cloud and on-prem settings.

OS & Scripting: Strong basic administration skills for operating systems, including Linux configuration, package managers, and scripting.

Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP component layers to successfully identify normal and abnormal traffic patterns.

Adaptability: Self-motivated mindset with the ability to quickly research, test, and master unfamiliar tools and new technologies.
