Senior Product Engineer – PHP / AIUp to £80,000 | Remote | PermanentI'm looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join a growing product-led engineering team, working across the modernisation of existing applications before moving onto an exciting greenfield AI product.You'll initially work within a small, autonomous engineering team, modernising internal products, developing new functionality and improving integrations across a wider product ecosystem.Longer term, you'll have the opportunity to work on a greenfield AI-powered platform, designed to automate traditionally manual services and provide intelligent, real-time support to users.What we're looking for:Strong commercial PHP experience.Experience working within a product/SaaS environment.Strong OOP, SOLID and clean coding principles.Experience developing applications at scale, including high traffic/API/data volumes.SQL/MySQL experience.Experience building cloud-based applications.Strong examples of mentoring and coaching other engineers.Comfortable working closely with Product Managers and taking ownership of solutions.Genuine curiosity around AI and AI-assisted development.Nice to have:Symfony, Laravel or CodeIgniter experience, API development, GCP/AWS/Azure, microservices, Terraform and observability tooling.Why consider it?You'll get a strong mix of hands-on engineering, product ownership and technical autonomy, with the opportunity to move into a genuinely greenfield AI project.The business is actively embracing tools such as Claude and Cursor, so it's a great environment for an engineer interested in how AI is changing both software development and the products being built.If you're a Senior PHP Engineer who enjoys owning products, solving problems at scale and wants genuine exposure to AI-driven development, I'd be keen to chat.
