HGV Class 2 Driver – Day Shift – Swindon
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy and well-established client based in Swindon.

Working as part of a professional driving team, you will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to businesses and building sites while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
This role would suit applicants looking for work as an, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.
Rates of Pay: £16.00 per hour
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
Start times between 04:30 and 06:00
Working until job finish

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:
Carrying out deliveries to businesses and building sites
Operating curtain-side Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations
Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Undertaking heavy lifting when required
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
A minimum of twelve months' Category C driving experience
A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
A valid UK CPC Card
A valid Digital Tachograph Card
No more than six penalty points for minor offences
No major endorsement codes
Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
A good understanding of road traffic laws and regulations
Desirable Experience:
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, it would be beneficial if you have:
Previous commercial driving experience
Multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive:
A driver assessment prior to starting
A full paid induction on your first day
