The Teaching Assistant role
As a Teaching Assistant in Bracknell, you'll work as part of an experienced specialist classroom team, supporting pupils throughout their school day.
This isn't simply a classroom-based role. Learning is highly personalised and could see you supporting everything from sensory activities and communication to PE, life skills and accessing the wider community.
Your day could include:
* Supporting pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support
* Helping pupils access sensory circuits and sensory-based learning
* Supporting communication and interaction
* Encouraging independence and essential life skills
* Supporting pupils with emotional and sensory regulation
* Helping pupils access PE and physical activities
* Supporting personal care where required
* Accompanying pupils on community activities, trips and off-site learning
* Using positive behaviour approaches to support pupils when they become dysregulated
* Working closely with teachers, therapists and other specialist professionals
