Lead Electronics Engineer

Location: South Surrey (4 days onsite)

Base pay range: Up to £80,000

We’re seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer to join a leading technology business driving innovation in advanced sensor technology. In this role, you’ll lead a talented engineering team of 6 engineers and take ownership of the full product lifecycle from requirements and system architecture to circuit design, prototyping, testing, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and integration of innovative products (digital, analogue, and software).
Develop specifications, requirements, and interface definitions.
Design, simulate, and validate circuits.
Drive system integration, debugging, and validation activities.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
Support compliance (EMC, safety) and DFMEA reviews.

About You

Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar.
5+ years’ experience in systems engineering and people management/leadership.
Strong digital & analogue design skills (ADCs, DACs, op-amps, power supplies).
Familiar with PCB tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad) and simulation (LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink).

Desirable: wireless communications (BLE, Wi‑Fi, LoRa), intrinsic safety standards, or experience in regulated sectors (medical, aerospace, automotive, industrial automation).
