Job Description

Sales & Hire Administrator (Temporary 3-Month Contract)

Location:  Aldridge

Contract: Temporary, 3 Months

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Hours: Full Time

We are looking for a proactive and organised Sales & Hire Administrator to join the team on a 3-month temporary contract . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

Working closely with customers, suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Sales and Hire function.

Key Responsibilities

Managing customer enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.

Producing sales and hire invoices and arranging transport and customer payments.

Coordinating the packing and dispatch of padlocks and accessories.

Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding transport issues, missing accessories, damages, leaks, and other operational matters.

Working closely with depot teams to ensure efficient sales and container release processes.

Investigating and resolving invoice queries alongside the Purchase Ledger team.

Supporting month-end and year-end administration activities.

Accurately recording container stock movements and allocating them to relevant invoices.

Maintaining sales analysis reports and stock spreadsheets.

Identifying opportunities to improve processes and administrative efficiency.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous administrative experience within a busy office environment.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.

Confidence communicating with customers and suppliers over the phone and via email.

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.

A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
