Duties
- Preparation of monthly management accounts to a high level of accuracy, in a time manner, including accruals and prepayments- Monthly bank reconciliations- Daily posting of bank payments- Preparation of monthly factoring reconciliations and identify any variances- Preparation of monthly/weekly supplier payment summaries to be reviewed by the Finance Manager- Preparation of weekly payroll for review by the Finance Manager- Assist with the monthly preparation of VAT Returns- Assist the wider team with overviews of the creditors and debtors positions and highlight any aged debts, identifying any material changes- Liaising with other departments and managers to resolve customer queries and identify any recurring errors- Assist and Liaise with external auditors to prepare the year end audit information- Assist with the development of internal systems and internal controls across the business
Experience
- Strong IT skills, knowledge of excel and desire to learn about internal systems and their control environment- Sage 50 Experience- Excellent organisational skills- Attention to detail- Ability to support a team and work own your own- Ability to generate reports for non-finance managers- Previous experience working as an accounts assistant or similar role- Previous experience of management account preparation, Journal entry and nominal code analysis
