Job Description

Data Analyst | 6 Month Contract | (Inside IR35) | Hybrid Edinburgh| Starting ASAP

Day Rate: £DOE

About the role:

Harvey Nash's pub sec client is looking for a data analyst to support workforce planning for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs). The role will provide specialist data and analytical support to the Occupational Classification project by developing a robust workforce data set to support AHP workforce planning models.

Collecting and analysing this data will enhance the organisation's ability to make informed decisions about service capacity and the effective deployment of AHP resources.

Key tasks will include but will not be limited to:

Understand the background to the Occupational Classification project and its data requirements.

Quality assure and cleanse data sets

Link data sets

Undertake exploratory data analysis

Liaise with AHP leads and data providers in the territorial Health Boards

Keep AHP leads in the organisation updated on progress

Present analysis to internal and external stakeholders

Essential Criteria

Collecting and quality assuring quantitative data

Working with large administrative data sets, including person-identifiable data

Linking data sets

Communicating with senior stakeholders and explaining technical subjects to non-expert audiences

Using reproducible analytical pipelines to analyse data sets

Presenting the results of analysis in papers and dashboard-style reports

Experience of working both independently and as part of a team, whilst balancing a range of competing priorities

Experience of leading team meetings, webinars, events and/or conferences online

Track record of working within project management environments, planning and organising a variety of tasks, including involvement in multiple projects and programmes of work

Experience communicating complex, confidential and often sensitive information with a range of staff across the organisation and with external stakeholders (both verbally and in writing)

Ability to work with minimal supervision; to plan and prioritise own workloads, and that of your team; and to meet deadlines
