Quality Controller

Job Description:

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 08:00-17:00 (must be flexible with start and finish times)

Pay rate: £13 ph

Job Summary

The Quality Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the required quality standards and specifications. This position involves monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, and implementing quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

Overview of arrivals, on production lines and on despatch; ensuring product is correctly packed and is within specification

Collaborating closely with the Online Qc, Line leader to maintain quality standards and Grade outs

Managing workload according to daily orders

Monitoring shelf-life, any customer samples and carrying out associated testing

Completing any necessary documentation in compliance with any requirements

Maintaining excellent levels of hygiene standards

Working closely with on site Management team and 3rd party Management team

Monitoring the productivity of our Production Operatives, providing training, support and feedback to drive improved performance at our 3rd party packing operations

Give quality feedback to Management team and Customers

Following up any rejections, investigation and complete any necessary documentation

Skills:

Previous experience of working in a fresh produce environment with responsibility for monitoring product quality would be a strong advantage

Excellent attention to detail

Understanding of and adherence to health and safety protocols and food hygiene standards

The ability to interpret and follow written and spoken instructions

Respect for others and values diversity; happy to listen and work as part of a small team

A can-do attitude with a flexible and dynamic approach

The ability to use own initiative and thrives under pressure
