Legal Secretary

Abergavenny

Job Description: Legal Secretary

We are looking to appoint a Legal Secretary for our busy Private Client and Family Department.

The Role

You will be responsible for assisting both departments with the following tasks:-

opening and closing files;

dealing with initial enquires and making appointments;

dictation;

drafting some legal forms with guidance/instructions;

standard letters;

carrying out AML checks;

engrossing documents for signing;

preparation of court bundles;

dealing with filing of court forms using online portal systems;

making and receiving telephone calls;

Paper and online filing and storage of documents;

Photocopying and some other general office duties.

Experience would be preferred but not strictly necessary as full training can be given.

Person Specification

Excellent Computer literacy skills and ability to learn data entry in Solicitors Own Software (SOS) database;

Excellent communications skills and attention to detail;

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time although part-time working may be considered for the right candidate.
