Our client

Our client is a medium-sized Asbestos specialist outfit, who provide surveying and analytical services to domestic and commercial clients. They are seeking a switched-on and thorough Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their successful team. Applicants must hold the BOHS P401 as a minimum, and will be well-versed in technical guidelines. You must be based within a commutable distance to the laboratory, and will be confident working both within teams and independently. Experience / Qualifications

• Hands-on experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst
• It is essential to hold the BOHS P401
• Good understanding of UKAS and HSG legislation
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Proficient using IT software

The Role

• Conducting bulk analysis of asbestos samples, through PLM and stereomicroscopy
• Logging and storing samples safely
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and organising any repairs / servicing
• Uploading results onto the company database
• Creating and issuing analysis certificates for clients
• Participating in quality assurance checks
• Working to agreed deadlines and personal targets
• Upholding high service standards
