Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Electrical Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with experience working with control panel based equipment, process machinery, automation systems, or production machinery?

We're working with a global engineering organisation seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Projects Team. You'll play a key role in delivering electrical and automation solutions across a portfolio of projects, supporting the full project lifecycle from design and procurement through to commissioning and customer support.

Monday to Friday (flexible start and finish around core hours)

WFH 2 days post probation

Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter experience for all electrical aspects of multiple engineering projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, specifications and budgets.
  • Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and project documentation, including control philosophies and equipment schedules working closely with the suppliers.
  • Specify and procure control panels, instrumentation and electrical equipment while managing supplier performance.
  • Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, troubleshooting and site activities across customer and supplier locations.
  • Work closely with project managers, sales teams and subcontractors on quotations/bid/costings.

Experience / Skills / Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience delivering electrical engineering projects within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of electrical schematics, UK electrical standards and instrumentation.
  • Confident communicator and capable of being customer/supplier facing.
  • Experience working with control systems/control panels.
