Job Description

About The Role

Are you the kind of person who loves solving complex puzzles and shaping the future of tech? If so, we’ve got a brilliant opportunity for you. We’re on the lookout for aSolution Architectwho can bring clarity to complexity, guiding our teams to deliver smart, secure, and scalable technology solutions. You’ll be right at the heart of our digital transformation—where business ambition meets technical brilliance. This role is based in Wakefield, just off Junction 41 on the M1 with hybrid working (2–3 days a week on site).

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll help turn strategic goals into clear, practical architecture designs that guide how we build and integrate enterprise solutions. Working across a wide range of services, you’ll ensure solutions are aligned with governance standards and built to last.

Evaluating options and shaping requirements with stakeholders will be a key part of your role, making sure everything stays feasible and focused throughout delivery. You’ll also champion modern technologies and integration patterns to improve agility and scalability.

During build and transition phases, you’ll support delivery teams with detailed designs and technical leadership. Strong relationships—both internally and with vendors—will help keep everything aligned. And you’ll play a part in improving our architecture tools and practices to drive consistency and reuse.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience designing and governing complex enterprise architectures, with a solid grasp of frameworks like COBIT and SFIA level 5 competencies.
  • Hands-on knowledge of platforms such as SAP, Boomi, Azure, LeanIX, and SQL Server, along with expertise in integration techniques like APIs and event-driven flows.
  • A confident communicator who can translate strategy into actionable designs and influence stakeholders across the business.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments, secure design principles, and emerging technologies that align with business priorities.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience—TOGAF or similar certification is a nice bonus.
