Our client, a well-established manufacturer, is looking for a detail-driven engineer to join their Operations team. This role sits at the link between engineering design and the shop floor, split between hands-on process improvement and the data/administration side of manufacturing - keeping BOMs, routings, and ERP records accurate as products move from CAD into production.

Setting and maintaining correct work centres and routing times across the shop floor
Leading and closing out continuous improvement projects that reduce manufacturing cost
Writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for key products and processes
Investigating build issues and component failures, and supporting root-cause/CAPA activity
Running PFMEAs alongside Quality and Production during new product introduction
Coordinating Engineering Changes with suppliers and manufacturing teams
Providing backup support on tooling, ERP administration and cost variance analysis
Supporting third-party certification activity (e.g. ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards)
What we're looking for

A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or similar
Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, ideally with electro-mechanical assembly
Comfortable working in CAD and ERP systems, with a strong eye for data accuracy
Strong root-cause and structured problem-solving skills
Organised, self-motivated, and confident working across engineering, quality, purchasing and production teams
Ability and willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 10%), including some evenings/over-nights
Nice to have

Lean or Six Sigma qualifications
Experience facilitating FMEAs
Familiarity with 3D printing
