The Role:

A hands-on Finance Manager position, responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations, supporting month-end activities, and acting as a key link between the wider business and Finance Director. The role will initially be office-based during onboarding, moving to a hybrid working pattern thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:

Take ownership of daily cashbook management across multiple bank accounts, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

Review bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and clear unidentified or incorrectly allocated transactions.

Monitor cash flow, escalating risks and issues to the Finance Director as required.

Oversee supplier, overhead and operational payments, ensuring invoices are coded correctly and follow internal approval procedures.

Monitor incoming client and supplier payments, supporting sales-income and commission reconciliations.

Assist with the investigation of missing or delayed commission payments.

Support month-end close, preparing reconciliations, schedules, reporting packs and variance analysis.

Act as a day-to-day finance contact for internal teams and provide support to junior members of the finance function.

Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and documentation as the business scales.

Desirable Skills:

Strong experience of cashbook management, bank reconciliations and high-volume transactions.

Confident taking ownership of finance processes in a hands-on, operational role.

Excellent Excel and data-analysis skills.

Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage competing deadlines.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across departments.

Experience within a multi-currency or service-led environment would be advantageous.

Benefits:

Salary plus bonus depending on experience.

Full-time, permanent position.
