Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer to join an existing R&D team and play a key role in the design, development and improvement of sophisticated electronic systems used across the product portfolio.

This is a genuinely hands-on role spanning electronics hardware, embedded firmware, sensors, instrumentation and data acquisition.

You'll have the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle — from developing new concepts and prototypes through to testing, validation, manufacture and ongoing product improvement.

Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer Hours, Pay and Benefits

* £45,000 - £55,000

* 37 hours per week, 8:00am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, with a 1pm finish on Friday’s (this is a full-time in office role)

* Benefits include: above average employer pension contribution of 6.5%, above average holiday allowance of 26 days plus bank holidays, 3 x salary life assurance, company bonus (first £3,000 is tax-free).

This Role is Commutable From: Nottingham, Derby, Burton upon Trent, Coalville, Loughborough

Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer Candidate Requirements

This role would suit an engineer who combines strong electronics hardware knowledge with genuine embedded software experience.

* Proven experience in embedded electronics and product development.

* Strong Embedded C/C++ programming and firmware development skills.

* Experience working with microcontrollers such as STM32, ARM, PIC or AVR.

* Hands-on experience with electronic circuit and PCB design.

* Experience with sensors, instrumentation and data acquisition.
