Mercury is not just a company; we’re a transformative force in the world of SaaS for recruitment and staffing firms. Since our founding in 2014, we’ve been at the forefront, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and innovation that has allowed us to create a ground breaking SaaS platform, based on the Microsoft D365, Power Platform, Open AI and more.

With a global presence in strategic locations, including Coleshill, London, Boston, Chicago, and Sydney. We are now a dynamic team of 140 employees, and we’re not stopping there – we’re on track to double in size over the next 24 months.

Mercury is all about our customers, with over 100 worldwide and 8,000+ users experiencing the transformative power of our solutions. We’ve seen remarkable growth in headcount, surging by over 125% in the last two years. As a dedicated SaaS innovator, we are here to simplify and enhance the operations of recruitment and staffing firms.

What you’ll do

As a Software Developer in our Integrations team, you will be a key player in the development and maintenance of our 3rd party API integrations using C#. You will be joining a dynamic team consisting of 4 Developers, 3 QA Engineers, and a Development Lead. Here’s what you can expect to do:

Be involved in back-end software development, where you will have the opportunity to iteratively enhance and improve our Mercury 3rd party integrations and API offerings.

Work collaboratively with Developers, QA Analysts, and Product Owners as part of an Agile development team to deliver quality software increments.

Conduct code reviews to ensure that code quality and standards are adhered to.

Work with the Product team to understand and refine requirements and agree on acceptance criteria in collaboration with the rest of the development team.

Contribute to the evolving culture of innovation within the company.

Who you are

You have 2+ years of commercial experience using C# to develop web APIs, with a strong understanding of software design patterns and SOLID Principles.

You practice clean coding techniques to produce readable and maintainable code, with great attention to detail and an emphasis on quality and standards.

You possess strong analytical skills, able to translate use cases, user stories, and specifications into functional applications.

You have experience working in Agile teams and with lifecycle management tools (like Jira or Azure DevOps).

You have some experience with Unit testing (e.g., MSTest, NUnit), knowledge of source control (ideally Git), and exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.

You have experience with cloud technologies, ideally Azure, but this is not essential.

At Mercury, we believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration. That’s why we encourage our team members to join us at our Coleshill office 2 days per week. However, we’re all about flexibility, so we support remote work the remaining days if that’s your preference.
