Job Summary for a Chef De Partie

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a vital part of the kitchen brigade, the CDP is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standard. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities as a Chef De Partie Manage a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauce, larder, pastry) during service.
Prepare and cook menu items to specification and in a timely manner.
Ensure food is presented to the highest quality and consistency.
Maintain stock control and assist in ordering ingredients when required.
Adhere to food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and improve efficiency.
Train and mentor junior staff or commis chefs in your section.
Take responsibility for mise en place and readiness of your section.
Requirements Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up.
Solid knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
Ability to manage a kitchen section independently and as part of a team.
High standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food presentation.
Relevant culinary qualification preferred.
`Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
