Key Engineer Responsibilities: As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably through a combination of planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Key duties include:

Diagnosing equipment faults and restoring production machinery efficiently to minimise downtime

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs

Implementing engineering improvements identified through audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives

Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with site health & safety, environmental, and hygiene standards

Maintaining accurate maintenance records, including completed work and spare parts usage

Supporting effective spare parts management and stock control processes

Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maximise plant performance

Providing clear handovers between shifts to ensure continuity of work

Supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with site procedures and safe systems of work

Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within engineering work areas
