Senior Structural Engineer

Job Description

Opportunity: Senior Structural EngineerLocation: LondonPosition type: PermanentSalary: Competitive and negotiableWilde are one of the largest independently owned consultancies in the UK, employing over 100 professional staff across our offices in London, Stockport and Liverpool.Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our Westminster Building Structures team and are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join us.The role will involve working on a diverse portfolio of residential, educational, public and commercial building projects across London and the South East.The RoleLeading the design and delivery of building structures projects.Producing structural calculations and technical reports.Undertaking structural surveys and site inspections.Liaising directly with clients, contractors and design teams.Taking ownership of projects and supporting the development of junior engineers.Experience with Revit would be advantageous, although not essential.Candidate RequirementsApplicants should:Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Have several years’ experience working within a structural engineering consultancy.Have strong experience in the design and delivery of building structures projects.Be confident producing structural calculations and technical reports.Have experience undertaking structural surveys and site inspections.Have working knowledge of AutoCAD.Be confident liaising with clients, contractors and wider design teams.Be able to work independently and take ownership of projects.Have strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.Be keen to support and develop more junior members of the team.Ideally be working towards or have achieved Chartered status.What we offerVaried work and early responsibility, taking ownership of projects.Excellent career progression.Support towards Chartership through our ICE accredited training scheme.Organised social events.Supportive and collaborative working environment.Do you have the right to live and work in the UK?If so, how?Wilde Consulting Engineers are an Equal Opportunities employer.
