We are seeking a Product Manager to join our busy supply chain team within the commercial department. This role is crucial for managing a specific range of products, such as power supplies, and acting as the go-to expert for product-related queries from teams and customers.
Day-to-day of the role: Manage a range of products, including placing and managing purchase orders with suppliers, managing deliveries, forecasting and managing stock levels, and conducting profit and loss analysis.
Upload new supplier pricing and report on the range performance.
Address questions from other teams and customers, building knowledge of the range.
Work in conjunction with the compliance manager to understand compliance for the range.
Oversee the life cycle of the product range.
Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to understand trends and future customer requirements.
Liaise with other departments such as Technical, Marketing, and Finance.
Take responsibility for the silicon chip manufacturing process, including planning raw materials with the chip design team, managing orders and throughput with assembly and test houses, and managing inventory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Organised and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Excellent Excel skills and the ability to interpret data.
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach.
Excellent presentation skills.
Experience within a supply chain environment and familiarity with an ERP system for procurement is ideal.
Experience in the electronics sector is beneficial but not necessary.
