We currently have an exciting opening for a full time HGV / LGV1 Class 1 Driver to work for LondonEnergy Ltd (LEL).
You will be based from our Transport Yard in Hawley Road, Stonehill Business Park, Edmonton, N18 3QU
You will work 47.5 per week
Monday - Friday
Main Responsibilities:
As a HGV / LGV1 Driver you will load, collect and transport waste and recovered materials from LEL operated sites, to designated destinations in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with legal requirements and Company policies.
Main Duties:
Compliance:
To maintain accurate reporting of vehicle operation by ensuring all tachograph related regulations are adhered to.
To inspect the vehicle and report vehicle defects in line with Company procedure.
To drive in a safe manner in accordance with the law.
To report all accidents or incidents at the earliest opportunity and provide written and camera evidence thereof.
To inform the Company immediately in the event you receive a driving licence infringement.
Vehicle Operations:
Using Articulated vehicles to transfer waste from our waste transfer stations in Wembley and Islington to the Energy Centre, RFPF or various off-takers.
Maintenance:
To ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and safe state at all times.
To ensure vehicles are adequately fuelled at the end of each working day or as instructed.
To identify and report vehicle defects promptly.
Requirements
You must hold a HGV class 1 / LGV1 / C+E licence and have no more than 6 points on your licence due to insurance purposes.
You must have previous experience of driving a similar sized vehicle.
