As the company continues to expand its international footprint, they are seeking a Junior Finance Controller to join their London-based finance team and support the financial management of multiple overseas operations.

The Role

Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Junior Finance Controller will play a key role in supporting the financial reporting and control of several international entities.

Key responsibilities include:

Reviewing and analysing General Ledger transactions across several African entities, ensuring financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant.

Acting as a key point of contact for local finance teams, providing support and guidance on accounting, reporting, and financial control matters.

Preparing and reviewing reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Supporting the production of monthly financial information and management reports for senior stakeholders.

Monitoring financial performance and identifying risks, variances, and areas for improvement across international operations.

Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of robust financial controls, processes, and governance frameworks.

Collaborating with operational teams and senior management to improve financial transparency and support decision-making.

Supporting external audits and ensuring compliance with group reporting requirements.

Undertaking regular international travel to visit overseas operations, build relationships with local teams, and gain a detailed understanding of on-the-ground business activities.
