Duties

• Safely operate a 7.5-tonne flatbed truck to deliver goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
• Plan delivery routes effectively to optimize time and fuel efficiency
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance issues before departure
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports
• Follow all safety protocols during loading, transit, and unloading processes to ensure a secure working environment

Requirements

• Valid 7.5-tonne (or equivalent) driving license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver, ideally with flatbed truck operation experience
• Knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards for commercial vehicles
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, securing loads, and maneuvering cargo on flatbeds
• Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes
• Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings or late evenings as needed
