We are currently seeking a Credit Controller for a 3-month temporary position based in Brighton. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a knack for maintaining financial health and managing accounts receivable. Day-to-day of the role: Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings with banks
Setting up the terms and conditions of the receivable and payable balances
Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring customers pay on time and negotiating re-payment plans
Assisting in the setting up of the credit control system
Ensuring that all transactions are compliant with company’s policies
Handling disputed bills and negotiating to bring payment within the agreed terms
Providing administrative support to the team
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Credit Controller
Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
Proficient in MS Office and accounting software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
Competence in decision-making and working with numbers
Ability to work in a team and to manage tasks independently
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
