Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver or a newly qualified HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent?

We are currently recruiting for Class 2 Drivers to join our client based in Walton Summit, Preston. This is an excellent temp-to-perm Class 2 driving job, offering regular Monday to Friday work and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The Role – Class 2 Driver

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering flooring products to commercial customers across the UK.

You will typically complete 7–12 deliveries per day, with regular routes allowing you to build good knowledge of your customers and delivery areas.

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 04:00 and 06:00
• Approximately 7–12 deliveries per day
• Delivering flooring products to commercial customers
• Around 99% of deliveries are unloaded using an FLT
• Occasional handballing may be required
• Regular delivery routes
• 2–3 nights out per week may be required for Scotland routes
• Nights out operate on a rota, so you will not be required to do them every week
• Guaranteed 45 hours per week once permanent
• Drivers currently average approximately 37 hours per week

Pay – Class 2 Driver

£16.00 per hour

£17.93 per hour including holiday pay

The position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, giving you the opportunity to move into a permanent position with the client.

Class 2 Driver Requirements

To be considered for this Class 2 Driver position, you will need:

• Valid Class 2 / Cat C HGV licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 3 points on your driving licence
• Newly qualified Class 2 Drivers are welcome to apply
• Previous Class 2 driving experience is advantageous but not essential
• Good customer service skills
• Reliable and professional approach to work
• Flexibility to complete occasional nights out

Assessment & Start Date

Following registration with us, you will meet with the client and complete a short 30-minute assessment drive.

Immediate starts are available for suitable Class 2 Drivers.
