Our client are an established Utilities company with an excellent name in the market. They are looking for Cyber Programme Planners on a contract basis. The company are in an excellent position with lots of exciting plans for the rest of the year.
As part of our clients commitment to maintaining the safety and reliability of their services, our Utilities client are undertaking a significant Programme and Portfolio of Cyber Security improvements. This initiative aims to enhance our ability to identify, detect, protect, respond to, and recover from Cyber Security-related events, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate must have experience using Project for the Web and be very hands-on in their approach. They should be an expert in planning, possessing an IT background to understand project lifecycles. Additionally, they should be proficient in project management on the web platform.
The primary responsibility of this role involves pulling together plans across 40 projects within the cyber programme. Therefore, the candidate must demonstrate exceptional planning skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They should be proactive in creating cohesive plans and ensuring alignment with the overall programme objectives.
Responsibilities:
Define and implement tools and standards for Programme Planning.
Develop the Programme Plan and Project Plans supporting the Programme objectives.
Baseline all Project Plans within the portfolio and identify key milestones.
Ensure alignment of the Programme Plan with target outcomes and delivery dates.
Manage Programme interdependencies and conduct plan analysis to optimize delivery efficiency.
Support risk identification and mitigation efforts to prevent project delays.
Present schedule-related options to Project/Programme Managers and facilitate decision-making.
Produce accurate plan reporting for senior stakeholders and progress reports against plans.
Create resource planners to address resource constraints and ensure plan achievability.
Key Skills:
Extensive experience in Programme Planning or management of high-complexity projects/programmes exceeding £10 million budget.
Experience using Microsoft Project for the Web
Proficiency in Project Planning & Control and Project Risk Management.
Expertise in Project Planning and associated tools.
Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior stakeholders.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in roles such as Programme Planner, Project Manager, or Programme Manager.
