Are you an experienced freight forwarder ready to make an immediate impact? Our client is looking for a Freight Forwarder to join their busy Manchester team. Location: Old Trafford, Manchester Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: Immediate About Us: Our client is an established freight forwarding and logistics company providing shipping, transport and forwarding services to a wide range of customers. They handle multi-modal shipments by road and sea across multiple sectors, and pride themselves on expert customer service and strong, lasting business relationships. Freight Forwarder - The Role: This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced department where you'll hit the ground running. With 2-5 years of freight forwarding experience at clerk, operator or coordinator level, you'll bring the know-how to manage shipments confidently, keep customers informed and support the wider team through a busy period. Freight Forwarder - Key Responsibilities: - Process incoming enquiries and bookings accurately, making sure shipments are handled correctly and on time - Coordinate road and sea forwarding shipments from booking through to delivery - Keep customers updated on shipment progress and respond to queries promptly - Liaise with customs staff and apply your knowledge of customs regulations and shipping procedures - Maintain accurate documentation, records and systems - Prioritise a varied workload and support colleagues wherever needed Freight Forwarder - You: - 2-5 years of freight forwarding experience at clerk, operator or coordinator level - Confident across the Microsoft suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Teams - Quick to pick up new software and computer literate - Able to work from the Manchester site full time, ideally with access to a car - Highly organised, with a structured approach to planning and managing your day - Calm under pressure, able to prioritise effectively and follow through - Experienced at multi-tasking in a similar role - A team player with a can-do attitude and a track record of pitching in to help others - Comfortable taking ownership of decisions and working independently within agreed boundaries (desirable) Benefits: - Generous annual leave - Social events - Professional development in freight forwarding and logistics - Supportive team environment To submit your CV for this Freight Forwarder opportunity, click Apply today!
