British-born, today we have 13 stores across the UK– an established Interior Design and Trade business, a mail-order service and thriving website.

We are looking to recruit an experienced full time visual merchandiser to join our growing field based Visual Merchandising team. , based out of our southwest stores. ( Froxfield, Bath, Bicester, Sunninghill, Marlow)

Working on projects both independently and as part of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that in-store visual merchandising is both innovative and in line with brand positioning at a consistently high standard that always strive to exceed our clients’ expectations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring brand visual merchandising (VM) standards are of a consistently high standard,

• Recreating room-sets/displays/windows seasonal changes following guidelines; organise own adequate supplies of stock, props, materials, equipment and tools for all planned work,

• Working across functions and key stakeholders o plan effective product range moves within stores with a constant commercial mindset using related analysis tools,

l will be required to carry out all duties consistent with the visual merchandising of Oka homewares products in their own stores in the Southwest area,

the role requires manual handling of large furniture and regular changes of all product ranges

• , the role will require painting and decorating, and small DIY projects

• Assisting on new store openings and refits nationally, and assisting within other regions when required,

• Constant evaluation of the market and competitors.

ABOUT YOU

• 2+ years’ experience in visual merchandising, preferably within the interiors sector,

• Experience in retail interior styling is advantageous,

• A creative individual who can provide portfolio examples to illustrate previous successes,

• Good eye for display and design,

• Very good DIY skills (painting, decorating, using power tools to install mirrors, wall art, curtains, etc.) and able to lift heavy furniture,

• Experience working with and building relationships with a team of Store Managers,

• Commercial understanding of the power of VM and its ability to influence product and brand performance,

• Project management skills including the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines,

• High attention to detail,

• Confident in independent decision-making, troubleshooting and problem-solving,

• Fully competent with all Microsoft packages,

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; adept at promoting and explaining ideas to all levels of the business and influencing stakeholders, in order to achieve timely project completion,

• Able to work independently on projects with line manager support,

• Positive and flexible working attitude,

• Full, clean driving licence,

• Flexible approach to UK wide travel, including overnight stays,

• Passion for the OKA brand.
