The Software Tester will play a crucial role in the development team, responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track QA metrics . The ideal candidate should have an eye for detail and possess a solid background in software development and testing methodologies.
Duties:
Develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and feedback to developers
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Benefits:
£30,000 - £40,000 per annum
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
Onsite car parking
Experience required:
Proficiency in software QA methodologies , tools, and processes, with a focus on web applications developed with ASP.NET and Razor Pages
Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver for web application testing
Experience in API testing , preferably with Insomnia/Postman or similar tools
Experience in unit testing with a solid understanding of either NUnit or xUnit frameworks
Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) practices and the ability to implement testing strategies effectively
