Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable car dealership in Epsom, seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated automotive professional to lead workshop operations within a well-established dealership group committed to excellence and customer satisfaction. Monday to Friday working hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with no weekend work

Modern workshop facilities and a focus on delivering exceptional serviceDuties of the Workshop Controller:

Oversee daily workshop operations to ensure productivity and efficiency

Allocate jobs to technicians and monitor workflow to meet service deadlines

Provide technical support and guidance to the workshop team

Liaise closely with service advisors to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Manage workshop KPIs, including productivity, profitability, and quality standards

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies

Support the development of team members through coaching and performance managementRequirements of the Workshop Controller:

Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or similar role within a car dealership environment

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent knowledge of workshop processes and automotive systems (preferably Kerridge/Drive)

Ability to organise workload effectively and prioritise tasks

Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
