Looking for a role where you can influence products throughout the complete development lifecycle?An established global precision engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit a Senior Electronics Engineer to join its R&D team in Leicester.The business designs and manufactures sophisticated, high-value electro-mechanical equipment for customers across a range of advanced technology sectors.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineer who wants a varied position combining electronic hardware, embedded firmware, systems engineering and hands-on R&D.The RoleAs Senior Electronics Engineer, you'll work across the complete product lifecycle – from initial concepts and prototypes through to manufacture, product improvement and ongoing lifecycle support.You'll collaborate closely with Mechanical, Software and Manufacturing Engineers, taking ownership of electronic development and helping resolve complex system-level engineering challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electronic hardware, control systems and embedded firmware for complex electro-mechanical equipment.Carry out schematic capture, PCB design, prototyping, testing and product validation.Develop embedded hardware involving microcontrollers, data acquisition, communications and motor control.Troubleshoot complex electronic and system-level issues, working cross-functionally to develop robust solutions.Support products from R&D through to manufacture, including DFM, documentation and ongoing product development.Skills & Experience5+ years' experience in electronics design and development within machinery, instrumentation, automation or complex electro-mechanical products.Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics, schematic capture and PCB design.Experience developing hardware and firmware for microcontrollers, including communications, data acquisition and/or motor control.Practical, hands-on engineering capability covering prototyping, testing, fault finding and PCB rework.HNC, HND or Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.Why Apply?£55,000 – £65,000 basic salary plus comprehensive benefits.Work on complex, bespoke, high-value engineering products.Excellent combination of R&D, electronics design and hands-on engineering.Significant technical ownership across the full product lifecycle.Long-term development opportunities within an established global engineering organisation.Apply TodayThis is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electronics Engineer, Electronics Design Engineer, Electronics Development Engineer, Hardware Engineer or Embedded Electronics Engineer looking for greater technical variety and ownership.If you enjoy designing electronics, building prototypes and getting hands-on to solve challenging engineering problems, apply today for a confidential discussion.JBRP1_UKTJ
