Full Stack Software EngineerLocation - Gloucester (Hybrid)Salary - Negotiable DoEPlease note candidates must be eligible for DV Clearance.Copello are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on complex, data-intensive systems.This role will focus on developing scalable applications and data-processing solutions using Java, Spring Boot and big data technologies, while contributing to automation, reliability and continuous improvement.Key responsibilities include:Developing scalable applications and services using Java and Spring BootDesigning and maintaining big data processing solutions and data pipelinesWorking with large and complex datasetsUsing Hadoop and distributed data technologiesAutomating configuration and deployment using AnsibleUsing GitLab for source control and CI/CDApplying SRE principles to improve system reliability, performance and availabilityMonitoring, troubleshooting and supporting production servicesContributing to incident investigation and root-cause analysisIdentifying opportunities for automation and process improvementWorking closely with technical and product stakeholdersContributing to engineering standards, documentation and best practiceYou’ll have:Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring BootExperience in big data engineering and large-scale data processingHands-on experience with Hadoop or similar distributed technologiesExperience working with large or complex datasetsKnowledge of Ansible and infrastructure automationExperience with GitLab and CI/CDA good understanding of SRE principles, monitoring and production supportStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsA collaborative approach and a passion for building reliable, high-quality softwareExperience with Apache Pig, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, observability tools or distributed systems would be advantageous
