Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their reputable franchise-approved Repair Centre in Llandow. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to develop their career within a well-established, family-run Dealership group. The Vehicle Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Monthly performance-related bonus averaging £400 (£4,800 annually)
  • Additional pay for overtime at time and a half
  • 22 days annual holiday entitlement, increasing to 23, 24, and 25 days after 1, 3, and 5 years of service respectively, plus bank holidays

Duties

  • Conducting fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
  • Ensuring vehicle safety, reliability, and performance through precise diagnostics
  • Following manufacturer and company procedures to complete work to high standards
  • Recording vehicle conditions and reporting issues to the Service Manager
  • Maintaining a tidy and organised workshop environment
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and quality procedures
  • Assisting with vehicle road testing and completing relevant documentation
  • Staying up-to-date with manufacturer training and technical updates

Requirements

  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Ideally 1-2 years post-qualification experience in a busy Dealership environment
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal endorsements
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and meet set productivity targets
  • MOT Smart Card is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in vehicle electronics, diagnosis, or light commercial vehicles is desirable
