The responsibilities of the role are as follows:
Deliver all elements required for successful New Product introduction and method changes, ensuring safe working procedures.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the manufacturing processes and procedures.
Ensure that products meet the requirements of customers, quality standards and external stakeholders.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and working practices and take responsibility for implementing improvement actions.
Identify and document process instructions.
Implement and carry out initial running of new processes.
Deliver rapid problem solving to minimise the impact of product non-conformance.
Take the lead in Process Management of Change (MoC) board as necessary, to enable amendment to tooling, equipment and work instructions accordingly.
Support in the training of production personnel in the use of equipment, tooling and processes.
Project manage new and improved processes.
Person Specification
Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance (5 years British residency necessary)
Level 4 NVQ in engineering discipline or technical area
Knowledge of Production Engineering either from Defence or Aerospace (preferred), high tech manufacturing or precision engineering
Demonstrate working knowledge of new product introduction
Ability to compile risk assessments and report writing
Experience of working on Hazops, desirable
Proficient in MS Office
